Event Details

Mark your calendars!  Wedgwood Circle is heading back to Santa Monica, CA!  Whether you're an experienced investor, an avid culture consumer open to constructive engagement, or a foundation trying to understand the cultural context of your grant maker, Wedgwood Circle's Annual Investor Event is for you!  Rather than merely complain or criticize about what we don't like about the entertainment and pop culture, the Wedgwood community is committed to working towards the creation and cultivation of cultural artifacts that are good, true and beautiful for the common good.

Join us November 10th-12th at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica as we gather institutional investors, foundations and top cultural gatekeepers to explore the avenues for creating entertainment culture such as film, computer gaming and graphic novels.  Wedgwood Circle is looking to The Inklings in 2010 as a teaching tool and model for fostering community and engaging audiences with the power of story.  As C.S. Lewis said to J.R.R. Tolkien, "There is too little of what we really like in stories; I am afraid we shall have to write some ourselves."  Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of our story.

2010 Annual Event Highlights Include:

  • Master of Ceremonies: Tim Washer, Comedy Writer/Actor
  • Conversations with Sean Astin (Actor, The Goonies; Rudy; Lord of the Rings) and Ned Lott (Voice & Casting Director, The Chronicles of Narnia)
